Ali is a classically trained dancer who grew up playing drums with everything she could tap on and with, feet included. As a professional dancer, she toured the world and performed in theaters, festivals, and stadiums. 

Drums took over dance and Ali studied at the New York Drummers Collective and attended workshops and masterclasses to pursue a career as a drummer. While living in Bermuda, Ali formed an all-female rock band. She has played in several bands in the UK, Switzerland and Europe and currently plays with the Rockin’ 1000.  Ali holds a Guinness World Record for being a member of the largest number of musicians in a music video, brought together by Rockin”1000 during the pandemic lockdowns. 

Ali recently opened The Cottage Drum Studio in a newly renovated 18th Century traditional Irish Cottage in the West of Ireland. The studio hosts Workshops and Masterclasses in a creative, countryside setting.

Tama and Sonor are Ali’s preferred drums, but for smaller venues she has a Ludwig Breakbeats kit by Questlove.  Zildjian are her preferred cymbals and she recently discovered Balbex drumsticks.
